2024 Year in Review

Well, there goes another year in the blink of an eye!

I get so busy doing ALL THE THINGS, it's nice to pause at the end of the year and reflect on my creative business and what I have actually achieved.

I kicked off the year with a bang, with a solo exhibition, "Memories of Summer" with the beautiful Greenhouse Interiors. The show sold out very quickly, which I was absolutely over the moon about.

I followed this up by also exhibiting in the Autumn Group Show in March and the Mother's Day Mini exhibition in May, with Greenhouse Interiors. In tough economic times, Greenhouse have been one of my best avenues to continue to sell my work consistently this year and I am so grateful to them for their ongoing support.

I joined a new gallery family in April, with Martine Gallery in Sydney and had some pieces exhibiting with them at the Affordable Art Fair in Sydney in June. It was a great experience to walk around the fair and see all the Australian artistic talent and meet some other artists and see their art in the flesh. Nothing quite compares to seeing the art in real life!

This July I also participated in the Incognito Art Show, which is a charity event raising money to support artists with disabilities. All artworks are A5 size and sold for $100, with the identity of the artist anonymous until the artwork has been sold. It was a such a challenge for me to paint something so small, but my 3 pieces were snapped up very quickly in the first few days, so they must have turned out okay!

In September I had a mini solo spring exhibition with Petite Collection and I also teamed up with Artist Lane for the 2024 season of The Block, presenting works to this seasons contestants. It was a thrill to see one of my pieces in The Block Shop on telly in September and I just loved this photo that was snapped of Scotty Cam and Shelly Craft admiring my work!

In November I had six pieces available with Stephanie Breitbard Fine Arts in San Francisco, for their annual Trunk Show. All six pieces found loving homes in the USA and it was lovely my work was so well received with this gallery.

Over the year I have collaborated with a number of brands including a sleep hair cozy with LOHY Hair, clothing with Nicoco Design, Downtown Magaizine's 2024 Calendar, Skida headwear and a range of prints with ICanvas .

I've been so blessed to connect with amazing collectors requesting Commission pieces throughout the year. My commissions are always such a joy and it's really nice to get to know the homes and families the pieces will be heading off too. All my collectors are a pleasure to work with and I have only ever had positive experiences with the commission process - touch wood! This year I have had commissions from all over Australia, along with the UK, France, Poland and New Zealand.

In these tough economic times, art is often at the bottom of people's wish lists and many artists and creatives have struggled in 2024. I've certainly noticed things are much quieter than they had been in the past few years and pieces tend to take a little longer to find homes at the moment. I was grateful though, that despite the current climate, over 140 pieces of my original painting found forever homes in 2024, which is truly astonishing! I am eternally grateful and thankful for the ongoing support you all show to my art practice.

I am excited to see what adventures 2025 may bring and I hope you too will continue to follow along for the ride.

I look forward to filling your feed with colour and joy all over again in the new year!
